Job Descriptions
You will be in charge of performing preperatory tasks for the housekeeping crew. You will remove towels, bathrobes, bed sheets and linen. Afterwards you will clean the wardrobe, sort clothes hangers, fold life vests and make sure that no trash or forgotten items are left in the cabin. You will not have to perform any heavy duty work such as vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning the bathroom.
Your Profile: We do not expect any specific knowledge or skills. You are required to complete a training session before the season starts and will receive a short briefing before you begin to work. You are cordial towards the guests and the staff and have a kempt appearance. You need to be able to speak English fluently. Knowlege of German is NOT required for this job.
Working locations & times: You will be working on cruise ships while they are moored at the pier. The port area can easily be reached by public transport. The working times are always 5 to 6 hours, usually from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm, both on weekdays and during the weekends.
Attire: At the beginning of the season, we will provide shirts with the company logo for you. We kindly ask you to wear clean, tidy jeans in blue or black as well as clean and sturdy shoes. Please remember to bring both your comany ID as well as your government ID (or passport or terms of residency card).
Team size: You will work in a very big team of around 50 students.
You support the crews of cruise ships with loading passenger luggage as well as provisions and groceries. The day is structured by the cruise ship schedule: in the morning passenger luggage is unloaded, afterwards the luggage of arriving passengers is brought to their cabins. Delivered goods are stowed into storage rooms and cooling chambers.
Your profile: You need the proper strength to perform this job. Furthermore you need to be reliable, able to work in a team, and be able to work in a structured and self-reliant way. Courteous manners and a well-kempt appearance are important as you will be in contact with guests. You do NOT need to be able to speak German for this job.

You will guide day guests on the cruise ships of well-known shipping companies. You will escort a group of about 15 people through the ship, including check-in in the morning, through lunch until they check out in the afternoon. During the tour all public areas as well as different cabin categories are shown. It is your main goal to enthuse the guests to book a cruise. You will provide versed information, talk to the guests and represent the company. You are the key in creating a memorable day for the visitors.
Your Profile: You are open and have obliging manners. You cater to the guest’s needs and are willing to learn about the company you represent upfront. You stay calm and friendly even during stressful situations. An excellent command of German is necessary for this job.
Working locations & times: You work on cruise ships while they are moored in the port. The area can easily be reached by public transport. The tours take place at different days during the week including weekends, usually for 5 hours from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm.
Attire: We will provide a polo shirt with the company logo.

In this area you’ll be in charge of cleaning hotel rooms and holiday apartements while complying to all service standards. Your tasks include changing sheets and linens, dusting, vacuuming and restocking convinience goods as well as notifying technical support of any necessary repairs.
Your Profile: You ought to be able to organize your work independently, be reliable and trustworthy and should have a kempt appearance. It is important to convey a welcoming, familial atmosphere to the guests through your open and cordial manners. Previous experience is preferred but not a necessity. You will receive specific training through us. You ought to be able to communicate in German and should have a good command of English.
Working locations & times: You will be employed in hotels in your city. We will organize a suttle service to places that cannot be easily reached by public transport. You will be compensated for travelling time. Working times are usually between five to eight hours. Work usually starts between 8 and 10 am.
Attire: We will provide a company shirt for you and kindly ask you to wear clean, tidy jeans in blue or black as well as sturdy shoes.
Team size: The number of people employed differs substantially depending on each hotel. You will recieve a short briefing and will then be assigned with your own working area. Depending on the hotel you will either work on your own or together with another student.

In catering you will support the waiting staff of the location. Depending on previous knowledge you will either support a waitress/waiter in their working area or you will be assigned an area of your own including cashing in. You are responsible for serving guests, tidyness and cleanliness, as well as preparative tasks as well as cleaning up.
Your Profile: You have very good manners, like to work with guests, are attentive, and service-oriented. First experiences in catering are an advantage, our friendly supervisors will also be happy to instruct you. We also offer training sessions. Overall you have a cordial personality and a talent for organising your work.
Working locations & times: You will be working in hotels and restaurants in or in the vicinity of your city. We organise a shuttle service for all places that cannot be reached by public transport easily and pay a flat sum for excessive travelling times. Working times are usually during evenings and weekends. Individual shift times can vary greatly but are always at least 5 hours long.
Attire: You will receive specific instructions with the mail we send to you a few days before your shift. You will usually be asked to bring clan, comfortable, black shoes, black trousers and a whie button-down shirt/ blouse. Some locations will provide additional clothing items on-site.
Team size: You will complement the in-house team in a group of 3 to 8 students.

You support our team during receptions, conferences, banquets and other events. Your tasks are providing food and beverage services, taking care of buffets, as well as preparing and tidying venues.
Your Profile: You should possess courteous manners, take pleasure in working with guests, be responsible, reliable and cordial. Hygene and compliance of all standards are important to you. We do not expect any special previous knowledge or skills but ideally you’ve already gained first experiences in catering. We offer additional free training courses to work at more exclusive venues. Our friendly supervisors will help and support you if you are new to the job. A good knowledge of German is required for this job.
Working locations & times: You will mainly be employed in hotels, restaurants and at trade shows. We provide a shuttle service for all locations that cannot easily be reached by public transport and reimburse you for the traveling time. Working times are usually in the evening and at weekends and can vary a lot but always span at least five hours.
Attire: You will receive detailed instructions on attire with your dispatch e-mail. Usually you are required to provide comfortable and clean black shoes, black trousers and a white button-down shirt or blouse. Some clients may provide additional pieces of clothing on-site.
Team size: Team sizes vary a lot depending on the number of guests at the event and start at three employees but can also be considerably larger.

You will shuttle guests from cruise ships and hotels to different venues within or close to your city.
Your Profile: You are open, reliable, responible, and have obliging manners. You like to communicate with other people, cater to the guest’s needs and have a well-kempt appearance. Both good German and English skills are necessary for this job. You also need a valid driver’s license and a safe driving style.

You will join our current office-team for customer care, services and support. You will also be involved in preparing and evaluating marketing campaigns. These tasks are typically performed by our office team:

You have good computer literacy with common office programs and a good understanding of online media. You like to communicate with other people. You are well versed with data mangement and maintenance. A sound knowledge of German and good English skills are an advantage.
Working locations & times: You will be working in modern and well equipped offices, primarily in your inner city. All locations can easily be reached by public transport. Depending on the job, working times can be arranged individually and are usually between 5 to 8 hours, in the time frame of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. You are usually able to decide yourself on which days and during which hours you will be working.

In this area, you’ll promote products and services of renowned companies. Sweepstakes and promotional gifts help you to enthuse passengers and potential customers.
Your Profile: You are outgoing, friendly and talkative. You like to approach people and communicate with them. You are reliable and are willing to learn a little about your job and the company you will represent upfront. Patience when dealing with children as well as interest in the company are important. You should have very good communicative skills in German. Basic communicative skills in English are an advantage.
Working locations & -times: There is a big variation in working hours and times depending on the product and company you represent. We will organise a shuttle service should your working location be outside of your city.

You will support online shops with the processing and handling of orders. Your main task will be to pack packages. Additionally you might be asked to do logistical tasks such as refilling inventory.
Your Profile: You are able to work independently, efficiently, and carefully after having received initial instructions. You are reliable, responsible and willing to attune to the working process within the company. It is an advantage to have a driver’s license and your own car to get to the location.
Working locations & times: Locations very depending on current demands and will in some cases only be accessible by car. You will get reimbursed for travelling costs and times. Times vary depending on current demand, usually shifts take place on weekdays between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. Each shift is at least 5 hours long.

As a supervisor you will be in charge of coordinating the entire work flow during the job. You will support employees and are always ready to answer questions from both personnel as well as clients. You will be in charge if a team from 8 to 40 people. Your tasks include taking attendance, registering working times, and planning the day effectively. Furthermore, training and instructing staff needs to happen frequently. You are the most important person on this day.
Your Profile: Reliability is the most important criterion for this job. You should be able to stay calm during busy times and in demanding situations. Fluency in both German and English are also a prerequisite. It would be an advantage if you have a driver’s license. Very good manners, a view for the essential, and a neat appearance are equally important.
Working locations & times: You will work in your city doing diverse tasks depending on your working experince. You will always be the first person on the job and the last one to leave. Working times depend on the individual area of work and are always at least 5 hours long.
